Account Deletion

EchoVocab (回声日语) ("we", "our", or "us") allows users to permanently delete their account directly inside the app. This page explains how to delete your account, what data will be deleted, and what limited records may be retained when required by law or payment processing rules.

1. How to Delete Your Account

1. Open EchoVocab and sign in to your account.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Open Delete Account.
4. Read the warning and confirm account deletion.

Once confirmed, account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

2. Data That Will Be Deleted

• Profile data linked to your account
• Word learning progress and related study records
• Favorites, saved items, and listening history linked to your account
• Personal settings and account-linked preferences
• Bound authentication identities associated with the account

3. Data That May Be Retained

We may retain limited records where required by applicable law, fraud prevention, security investigation, bookkeeping, or payment dispute handling. These retained records are kept only for the minimum period required and are not used to restore a deleted account.

4. If You Cannot Access the App

If you are unable to access the app and need help with account deletion, contact us by email and include the account email address you used in the app.
